Keep rining to answer phone. Just a peep no message. We had letter about smart metre, we won't change, so to me this is a nuisance call. Blocked number now
April 25, 2021 Called a few times before I answered. Energy company wanting to install smart meter. They emailed and I haven't replied yet so call is legitimate reason.
April 25, 2021 Hi, this is not a scam call. Old style credit meters are being phased out and are being replaced with new smart meters instead (these read themselves, instead of you having to provide a reading to your supplier).

April 25, 2021 If you are over 60 they treat you as an idiot, lie after lie. I agree with all the complaints made so far. I do not want a profile built on my hourly energy readings, later sold on to heavens knows who for a price?

Under no circumstances should people be harassed to have smart meters installed.
Secondly, once installed, you have to pay for the meter readings as it gets transferred back to them... Why should you as the consumer pay for that while they'
Why doesn't OFCOM clamp down on Eon for this? I don't want a bloody meter. They could easily email me or send a letter - they should not be allowed to hassle people on the telephone.

April 25, 2021 Didn't answer but after reading these comments it made sense Eon have already emailed and written regarding changing my meters over. I just haven't got back to them
